Leveling the Playing Field

We chose Leveling the Playing Field as the theme for event, not only to celebrate the accomplishments of our Paralympic and Professional athlete friends of Ability Online (and who doesn't want to meet a gold medal winner!) but because of the vision that started Ability Online 20 years ago.
Dr. Froggie quickly realized the power of the computer as a great equalizer. When communicating online, everyone looks the same. It doesn't matter how a person walks, or talks, what matters is inside them -their interests, passions and dreams. And then you add in the accessibility factor -and you have removed physical and transportation barriers for bringing people together.
